Customize Your Home Assistant Dashboard
I installed the custom card mod but I'm not sure if that did anything or not. I think the main problem was that I was expecting it to be it's own type of card, when in fact it seems to just add more functionality to the button card. So I was able to do a horizontal stack with the custom button cards to achieve what I was trying to do.
